UPC, an ambitious internet business based in the Netherlands, asked us to manage a roadshow to launch their IPO to investors in Europe and the USA for a £450 million offering.
The programme involved presentations in 13 cities in Europe and the USA over 10 days. Audiences had to be given a flavour of the company’s youthful, high energy culture as well as the complex technical scale of their enterprise. We were to design, plan and deliver every aspect of the programme from set design and production to venues, flights, accommodation and ground transport for a team of over 40 people.
The toughest challenge was in the timing of the events. We had less than 4 weeks to prepare. Then, with less than 24 hours to the first event, a critical element of the deal was delayed, causing a rescheduling of the entire programme. Thanks to excellent relationships with our suppliers, we were able to deliver an entirely new programme in just 10 days. Apart from proving our strong project management skills, it highlighted our philosophy, that with strong relationships, it’s so much easier to succeed.
