When our client, an alumni of Harvard Business School, found it was his turn to arrange the annual reunion, he came to Inspiration to design the programme and make it happen. Destinations for previous events had included some of the world's most glamorous cities - Paris, Rio, Hong Kong, so we felt it was time to shake things up and introduce a compeletely fresh approach.
Our idea was to turn the glossy, cosmopolitan theme on it's head and replace it with 'The Great Outdoors'. So, we proposed a 'Business in the Wilderness' programme which presented delegates and their guests the opportunity to experience two great wonders of the natural world: whale watching off the coast of San Diego, followed by three days in the heart of Yosemite National Park.
In San Diego, the charming 5 star Hotel Valencia provided the perfect venue. With excellent meeting rooms, seals on the beach and just a short drive to our privately chartered catamaran. business and whale watching mixed seamlessly. Then, following a short flight, the party relocated to Yosemite's legendary Ahwahnee Hotel where the fun continued with trekking in the footsteps of Ansel Adams, skiing at Badger Pass and a mountain top farewell barbeque.
